Americans may not be familiar with Europe’s best fast food – the Doner Kebab.
A Doner Kebab could be made of chicken, beef, or lamb, and is very similar to a gyro.
They usually come with a delicious red sauce and white sauce, and a salad.
Always cheap, filling, tasty, available late-night, and of questionable health value (although probably better for you than a burger), the Doner Kebab is a favorite of many.
Doner Kebabs often come with fries. Some shops are halal, others will serve wine and beer.

Conclusion
If I have been traveling for a few months, and I’m on a budget, and I’m hungry, I’ll eat a few donor kebabs.
You can find restaurants in Lisbon that offer just a kebab for 3 euros, or a combo of kebab, fries, and a drink for 7 euros.
