My name is Mike.  I am a high school Spanish teacher in the US. I love to travel.  I also speak Portuguese. 

I have been to twelve countries, and I have spent three summers in Lisbon.  

As a teacher, I have a good bit of time to travel, but not a lot of money.  I have to save vigorously in order to travel, so I tend to do a LOT of research before I go somewhere, that way I can maximize my time and money. 

I love doing this pre-trip research and digging up all of the details.  It is my hobby.
