Lisbon Destination Hostel is located in the center of old Lisbon, inside the 19th Century Rossio train station.
I have stayed in this hostel, and I can verify that you cannot hear the trains.

The hostel’s common area has a glass ceiling and an indoor garden with hammocks.
They offer free shots at the bar during happy hour.
The hostel has air conditioning and ceiling fans. They offer laundry facilities, hot showers, lockers, and reading lights.
Lisbon Destination Hostel is wheelchair accessible.

The rooftop is also where the cookouts/ barbecues and bar action takes place.

Rossio Hostel is located opposite Rossio Metro station, across the square.
It was voted the second-best hostel in the world in 2008 and 2009. I know it sounds like a long time ago, but a lot of hostels have never been that good.
You can watch TV in their large common area, enjoy walking tours, pub crawls, wine and tapas night, fado night, or a home-cooked meal at Rossio Hostel.
The hostel has a remodeled kitchen. The showers are equipped with radios. Your bed comes with a locker, a lock, duvet, free linens, and towels.
Beds start at 30€ during the high season. A double room with private bath facing Rossio Square and the castle starts at 90€ per night.

Room 007 Lisbon Hostel near the Avenida metro station

Room 007 Lisbon Hostel is just a few feet from the Avenida metro station that is on beautiful and central Avenida da Liberdade.
It’s not a long walk to the Ascensor da Gloria funicular that you can ride up to the São Pedro de Alcântara viewpoint and the bars of Rua Príncipe Real and Bairro Alto.
The eight-bed mixed dorm starts at 31€ per night. The six-bed all-female dorm is 35€ per night.
Breakfast is available.
Formerly a high-rise hotel, 007 offers large private rooms with huge bathrooms starting at 129€ per night. The hotel also has a rooftop bar that is a nice space and has a lot of potential to be much better.

While Lookout Lisbon Hostel is technically not within three blocks of a metro station, it is right by the Ascensor da Gloria which moves people from the central Baixa neighborhood up to Bairro Alto on the hill, and the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara lookout and meeting point.
The nearest metro stop is Restauradores.
Lookout Lisbon! offers free drinks and starts a pub crawl every night at 11 pm. During the day, they offer walking tours, bike rides, beach days, surfing lessons, and a van trip to Cabo da Roca – the westernmost point in Europe, and the town of Sintra. They also organize game nights, trivia nights, and group dinners.
The six-person dorm offers custom-made bunk beds with a reading light, a blackout curtain, a comfortable mattress, a duvet, and a locker.
The 12-person dorm has bunks that are stacked three high.

One of Lisbon’s newest hostels, but in one of the city’s oldest areas – between Alfama and Mouraria, Inn Possible has already managed to rate highly among Lisbon’s many great hostels.
They provide free continental breakfast, lockers for each guest, luggage storage, 24-hour staffing. The hostel has a large common area and kitchen.
In the summer, a minimum two-night stay may be required.
Along with your bed in the six-person female dorm, you get a private bathroom, a bed with a soft pillow and duvet, individual reading light, power socket (EU adaptor only).
The room has a full-length mirror, and you can request towels, facecloths, or a hairdryer.
A bed in the six-person female dorm costs 117€ for a two-night stay.
