Great Pet-Friendly Hotels in Lisbon

Luckily, some of the great pet-friendly hotels in Lisbon are among the best hotels in the city.

Dare Lisbon House: Pet-friendly apartment

Super central location in the heart of Lisbon’s Baixa Neighborhood.

Dogs up to 15kg are welcome at the Dare Lisbon house, but there is an additional charge of 20€ per night.

A 237 square-foot apartment with one queen bed, a private kitchen, a private bathroom, air-conditioning, a dishwasher, and flatscreen TV is €251 per night.

This restored 18th-century building has an elevator and is suitable for guests with limited mobility.

One Palácio da Anunciada allows pets

Pets are allowed on request and may require an extra charge.

This luxury boutique hotel has two pools. One is indoors and the other is on the roof.

One Paácio da Anunciada has a 24-hour gym as well as the Despacio Spa Center.

The hotel offers the Restaurante Condes de Ericeira and the O Jardim Wine Bar.

A 269 ft.² double room with a queen bed or two twin beds is €456 per night.

Hotel Chafariz del Rei (by Unlock Hotels)

There is no extra charge for pets at Hotel Chafariz del Rei.

Formerly a nobleman’s palace, this hotel has brilliant stained glass windows, magnificent tile work, and antique furniture.

The hotel’s six suites offer views of the Tejo River and the Alfama neighborhood.

The spacious Junior Suite is 484 ft.².  It has two twin beds, and. Period Style furniture.  

This room is €385 per night.

Epic Sana Lisboa Hotel: no pet fee

Located a few blocks west of the Marquês de Pombal metro station. Don’t confuse this hotel with the Epic Sana Marquês – to the east of the metro station.

Guests over 16 years of age can enjoy the Sayanna Wellness Spa.  Spy includes a 12 m lap pool with waterfalls and a wellness area with a sauna, steam room, showers, and an ice fountain.  

The fitness center is open daily from 8 AM until 8 PM.

The hotel operates three restaurants.  Allora is an elegant Italian Trattoria with an open kitchen.

Chef Pollo Matous oversees the traditional Japanese restaurant, Koji, on the 12th floor.

An à la carte breakfast is served seven days a week in the Garden Restaurant.

On the ground floor, guests can have cocktails at the B Epic Bar. An afternoon tea with refreshments is offered at the Upscale pool bar.

A deluxe double room with a queen bed and city views is €284€ per night.

NH Collection Lisboa Liberdade is pet-friendly

Centrally located and sits in front of the Avenida metro station in the Tivoli Forum Shopping Center.

Dogs and cats are allowed at NH Collection Lisboa Liberdade with a maximum weight of 25 kg. There is a 35€ charge per visit. No more than two pets per room. There is no charge for guide dogs.

One of the hotel’s best perks is the rooftop pool.  The pool is only available to hotel guests and is open from eight until September. The pool has 360° views of Lisbon and the Tejo River.

The hotel’s fitness center is open 24 hours a day.

Room service is also available 24 hours a day. The hotel restaurant is open for breakfast buffet and dinner.

There is a lobby bar as well as the poolside  Bar Ático by NH.

Pousada de Lisboa

I wrote about Posada da Lisboa in my article (Updated) Lisbon’s most interesting hotels (truly unique lodging in Lisbon) because this pet-friendly boutique hotel is located in the most majestic building in Lisbon.

Service animals are permitted free of charge with documentation at check-in. Pets of up to 15kg are allowed with a 25€ fee per night. A reference must be made in the booking comments.

The hotel overlooks  Praça do Comércio and the Tejo River. 

You are only steps away from the Rua Augusta Arch, and there are plenty of dining options on the square below.  The hotel also offers a restaurant and bar known as the Living Room.

The five-star hotel has air conditioning, room service, an indoor swimming pool, a rooftop sunbathing deck, a fitness center, and spa and massage treatment.

Guests are also provided with the use of a local cell phone while out sightseeing. 

Guests can enjoy the Magic Spa by Pestana.

A cozy 17 m² basic room with a double bed and breakfast included is €239 per night. The presidential suite with breakfast and dinner included is €1284 per night.

Hotel Intercontinental Lisboa allows large pets

A five-star hotel overlooking Eduardo VII Park, the Hotel Intercontinental Lisbon is located 1650 feet from Marquês de Pombal metro station, and 2300 feet from Avenida da Liberdade.

An IHG hotel, Intercontinental Lisboa is pet-friendly. The hotel provides dog bowls, beds, and treats. Inquire about restrictions and fees when making a reservation.

Many of the hotel’s rooms have panoramic views overlooking the park.

All rooms have a flat-screen TV, with satellite channels, and free Wi-Fi.

The hotel’s Akla restaurant serves international and Portuguese specialties. A continental breakfast is served every morning in the Eduardo VII Room. Guests can also enjoy the hotel’s Uptown bar.

A queen room starts at 347€. Parking is an additional 20€ per day.
